Question 3: What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?
When films come to be released after production, some companies that do this would be a company like Warner Bros as but because this company is so big, it manages all stages of film making along with distribution, however I am not apart of a large company. and do not have access to the technology that is needed to release a high quality film.
To release my film if it had been made fully, could have been done through social media as I am only a A Level media student and don't have access to a large budget or many companies to do it for me. However, though this method of releasing would not easily accessed by a large audience.
If I wanted my film to be released to a wider audience I could use a company that specializes in distribution like 'Studio Canal' previously 'Optimum Releasing'.
Warp Films is an independent film producer primarily based in the UK who also use studio canal for their distribution of their films. This would make Optimum Releasing a good option if I was to release my entire film properly as they have worked for smaller production companies and have a lot of experience releasing many films.
Another way that would be good to release my film would be a film festival, possibly the 'Sundance Film Festival' in the UK, this would allow for word of mouth to spread my film as well as reviews of people attending the festival.
